-^_^- I adore, admire, and love Seto Kaiba. And there's nothing redeemable in GX at all. Always great to talk to others who appreciates Seto, although I've gotten into some pretty messy "Who loves him more" debates with other fans.

Seto is an awesome person. :) He’s filled with sweet, brotherly love for Mokuba. Few people understand the importance of brotherly love like he does. In fact, I learned about the huge importance of nonsexual, human love (brotherly love) from Seto by watching Yu-Gi-Oh! :cuddle: Most fan girls love him simply because he’s handsome, rich, powerful, and a great duelist. I guess they have a crush on him, but would they still be crazy about him if he suddenly became homeless and poor?!! Fan girls sometimes forget that he’s a wonderful big brother, too, which is a very important part of who he is. Seto has also been through so much, such as the death of his parents and the psychological abuse from his stepfather, and he survived that. However, he still has emotional scars, which are visible when he says that he does not need friends, for example. He needs Mokuba (Mokuba is his friend), yet he says he does not need friends. He’s hurting inside. It’s like there’s a battle inside of him. I think you’ll like this art piece: [link] It was drawn by :iconkinglegato: and she’s showing how Seto's true self on the inside is not cold. She draws a lot of Yu-Gi-Oh! characters and Seto is her favorite YGO character, so you might be interested in visiting her gallery! :boogie:

I totally agree to all of that, and even more. I've seen too many people our of hormonal fandom turn him into a soap opera romantic and others turn him into Satan incarnate and bash the bile out of him. But like you said, he's got a heart which he closes off to almost everyone except Mokuba and Kisara. He also is a hard worker. Many people take it forgranted everything he had to do to become CEO, but the series always mentions his hard work and integrity. He never cheats and he duels honor which is why he was chosen to recieve Critias. Plus, even though he doesn't want to let Yu-Gi and his friends close, he always comes through, saving their butts at just when they need it. He's a complex character and I love him and admire for his strengths and weakness--I don't need him to suddenly become gushy or whatever 99% of the fangirls want him to do to fawn over them. I'd just be happy to get close to him and spend time with him, knowing that he cares deeply despite his stolidness and treasure the moments that he does open his heart to people.

It’s great to see that you understand! Thanks a lot for adding me to your friends list. I added you, too! :) I added you on October 25, Seto’s birthday!!! :cake: I’m also writing this comment on his birthday! I can relate to Seto a lot. I’ve been different from other people for so long and when I was younger, I’d often hear others say that I was weird, not normal, strange, etc. Now I don’t hear that anymore, but I’m still different. I don’t stupidly accept the dogmatic opinions of the masses and I think for myself. Seto is like that, too, because he’s very intelligent. Unfortunately, that can lead to loneliness because a lot of people don’t understand why we’re not exactly like everyone else. -__- For one thing, it’s very boring to always see people doing the same things just because the rest of society says it's right. Seto is very intelligent and won’t let anyone get in his way. He also knows better than most people how beautiful nonsexual love is since he has a deep, beautiful love for little brother, Mokuba. :happycry: Once again, this sets him apart from the rest of the world. We all know how obsessive people are with sex. Since Seto loves Mokuba, some people even pair him up with his little brother in a sexual relationship. I detest seeing that because those people don’t understand that nonsexual, brotherly love is beautiful in its own right. Nonsexual love and sexual love are different loves, but equally important. It's like saying that men and women are different, but still equal, yet a lot of people think women are inferior. :( Like I usually say, nonsexual love does not need sex to prove its beauty. Seto knows that! :cuddle:

^_^ I had fun celebrating Seto-sama's birthday. And I'm posting this on Halloween cause I dressed up as Kisara! Despite her being my "rival" for Seto, I can't help but admire her--I love her character!

And agreeing with you completely. I totally respect Seto's intelligence and know he'd need a girl who can communicate on that level with him---not the fantard idiots who're making out with him in chapter 2 of their fics. And I greatly admire the eastern, more subtle ways of showing romance like floating cherry blossoms, shy blushing, and dramatic build-ups to quiet walks and holding hands. The western romance where they show skin and tongue makes me sick. Love should be shown beautifully.

And don't get me started on the fantards that see homosexuality, pedophilia, and incest within every single character ever made. Because of those idiots, it's impossible for writer's to show characters interact in any way because it always gets mistrewed. Seto and Mokuba's relationship being one of them. I mean, if people would only stop to think for a second they'd see that, yes, Seto loves his brother deeply but there's nothing sexual about it. And it's that kind of caring for his brother that I find so attractive!

Anyways *steps off soapbox* Happy Halloween!
